Taking a taxi is a very good choice when you are traveling with a lot of luggage, during winter
in a hurry and if you are looking to go fast to your hotel or private accommodation in the city center of Prague
If you are not in a hurry and without any luggage, you should also consider to use the public transportation
To do so, from Prague's airport, you will have at first to take the bus
Bus 119 runs between Prague's Airport and Dejvická metro station (metro line A).
This bus is the best choice if your destination is the Old Town, Lesser Town, New Town, Prague Castle area but also Vinohrady or Žižkov districts.
The connections are every 7 to 20 minutes and the ride takes up to 30 minutes max. It cost 1,5 Euros (32 Czk) and you can buy your ticket in one of the yellow machine along the bus station, just outside the Terminal 1 of Prague airport
Be aware that if you arrive at Terminal 2 (Schengen Zone) you will have to go to terminal 1 or go directly outside the airport, after the "taxi zone"
If you want to avoid any problem, pay extra fees and take the risk not to enjoy your ride from Prague's airport to your hotel, we strongly recommend you to book your taxi in advance
